Croeso i Gymru a croeso i Chlytia y Ddraig! Welcome to Wales and welcome to the Dragon's Patch! The only ‘all Welsh’ region, we cover much of the nation of Wales. Our landscape is stunningly beautiful, our cultural heritage rich and diverse.
We currently hold Regional days arranged by the regional coordinator and Area days organised by our Area coordinators. We aim to have at least one day in each of the Areas of the region per year. The format of these will vary from sewing days, workshops, and talks given by an invited speaker. There is usually a show and tell where folk are encouraged to share their latest project. Traders are invited to sell their wares. So bring your purses to buy lots of lovely fabrics and notions. The day would not be complete without copious amounts of tea and coffee plus homemade cakes.
At Regional days, currently two per year, we usually have two speakers and may include a workshop with one of the speakers. We try to move around the Region with our Regional days so that at least one of them each year is not too far to travel to.
Both members and non-members are welcome at Regional and Area days. Buying a ticket ahead of the day benefits from a discounted rate.
Our current programme of events is publicised in our newsletter 'The Dragon's Patch'. You'll also find our events on the relevant page of the guild's website.
The Dragon's Patch drops onto the doormat of all Region 12 members three times a year. It is the place to find out what's on, who's who, the latest news and quilt groups local to you. We also send out a regular e-Newsletter with reminders and amendments when needed. Please ask if you'd like to receive this by emailing our web coordinator, Elaine Moore: firstname.lastname@example.org or me: email@example.com.
Please do get in touch if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them, or find someone who can!
